SWIMMERS from Dawlish Swimming Club took part in a sponsored swim for Sports Relief on September 17 at their home pool at Trinity School in Teignmouth.
A combined distance of over 65km (40 miles) was swam by those aged from eight to 16, which is the equivalent to crossing the channel from Dover to Calais twice!
The swimmers raised lots of money for Sports Relief and enjoyed challenging themselves, swimming together and being guided by Head Coach Emily Dart to swim as far as possible in their session.
Dawlish Swimming Club provides swimming lessons for ages 5+ at Trinity School, Teignmouth. They also run swimming squads for ages 9-16+, giving local children the opportunity to swim up from one to six times a week, with expert coaching and options to take part in local, regional and national swimming competitions.
