DAWLISH Indoor Bowling Club hosted an exciting finals weekend across March 22 and 23, played in high spirits across the board.

In an extremely exciting and tense match, the Ladies Singles pitted Tina Rowe against Debbie Coyles. With remarkable determination on display, Debbie edged ahead in the final end with a narrow score of 21-20, much to the thrill of spectators.

Barry Crugten then faced Andrew Moore in the Men’s Singles and the latter delivered a commanding and consistent performance to prevail 21-8.

On to Sunday and the Men’s Pairs match provided another highlight of the weekend. Marc Baker and Andrew Moore teamed up to take on Ian Ramsey and Mike Takel.

Marc and Andrew proved to be a formidable duo, securing victory with an impressive score of 24-11 through excellent teamwork and precision.

In the Novice Cup, Trevor Lobb went head-to-head with Ian Brooks. Trevor emerged as the winner by an 18-4 scoreline, marking a promising performance that hints at a bright future in the sport.

The finals concluded with the Ladies Umbrella match, where the pair of Debbie Coyles and Georgie Nown competed against Debs Kettley and Jean Pitts. Debs and Jean clinched the win with a score of 20-10, providing a strong finish to the weekend’s action.

In addition to the successful finals weekend, Dawlish Indoor Bowling Club has secured a place in the final of the prestigious Charles Parrot Trophy for the third time. The final is scheduled to be held on April 5 at Torquay, marking yet another opportunity for the club to shine on a prominent stage.
