A DAWLISH hair salon owner has raised more than £1,000 for an animal rehoming charity.
Chrissy Marks of Signature Hair and Beauty and the team at Lady's Mile Holiday Park raised £1,260 for Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus (SPDC).
An official fundraising ambassador for the charity, Chrissy approached the popular Dawlish attraction asking whether it would be interested in offering a caravan stay as a prize in a raffle.
‘They agreed and thanks to their generosity we raised £1260!’ Chrissy said.
‘The charity are so very grateful, this will help with vet cost and food to help so many dogs in need saved from the pound.
‘A sincere thanks to the Jefferey family for donating such a wonderful break away!’ she added.
Chrissy continues to fundraise for SPDC.
At present, she has an Easter raffle running at her salon, with prizes including Sunday lunch for four at Lady's Mile, a Thorntons egg and various hair-cutting prizes .
