Slimming World member story - Vicky Farress-Gregg
Vicky started her journey on 29/3/23 at 20st 8lb, and so far has lost 7st 11lb.
Vicky was inspired by someone else who was very overweight and thought “if they can do it, so can I.
“Being overweight was taking its toll on my body, losing weight was the only option I didn’t want to become diabetic”
Vicky enjoys the whole package of Slimming World recipes, she always keeps her syns below 10.
“If I go out I tend to save my syns to allow me to join in the fun without worrying.”
The challenge Vicky has found since joining Slimming World is her relationship with food, staying in a group is the most important part of her Slimming World journey but listening to others with the same struggles inspires her to do well and face the scales every week. The support from her group Vicky says is impeccable to success. Since losing weight, Vicky no longer has pain in her ankles, knees and elbows and can now run and paint her toenails. She can also go into high-street shops to buy clothes that make her look and feel good. Slimming World consultant Julie is very proud of Vicky, as she has embraced the changes she knew she had to make and in such a relatively short time has achieved so much! Vicky was very quiet when she first came to the group but now she is on the social team and helping to support members in group, and outside of group to encourage them to find a group near them. She is a completely different lady, she is now even doing Couch to 5k. Vicky has achieved her target weight and just wants to continue helping others reach their dream goal and to stay healthy.
