A SEAL pup found washed up on a Dawlish beach is doing well, rescuers have confirmed.
The small seal was found. Stressed and underweight, at Coryton Beach 10 days ago.
After being assessed by a vet, it was safely transported off the beach and taken to the Cornwall Seal Sanctuary where it received care, food and a much-needed rest.
In the latest update, one of the rescuers Ester Compton said: ‘Little Blue is doing very well, she is still very small but will be off to West Hatch for the next stage of her rehabilitation.’
West Hatch is the RSPCA rescue centre in Taunton.
The seal was found by Keith Smith who was quickly able to alert the British Divers Marine Life Rescue volunteers and stayed with the seal until it was rescued.

The beach entrance was taped off to keep the area safe until help arrived.
