ROADWORKS are causing traffic hold ups in Teignmouth again with one motorist renaming the main route into the town Bitton Car Park Road.
Drivers are reporting long tailbacks throughout the day along Bitton Park Road.
For the last few months, various sets of roadworks have called for temporary traffic lights to be installed.
But the works have been causing long delays.
At times traffic is backed up as far as Jack’s Patch garden centre in Bishopsteignton.
Utility companies and other statutory bodies have been responsible for the roadworks.
Today, one driver said it took 45 minutes to get to Teignmouth from Bishopsteignton.
Another suggested the latest two sets of roadworks could be causing the problems.
Others reported delays of 15 minutes.
One said: ‘It’s shambolic.’
Traffic was described as ‘very busy’ this morning with the traffic queuing back to the garden centre.
