HEAVY rain is filling up the Brook in Dawlish today with water as rain and thunderstorms arrive in the region.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for today with some localised disruption possible.

Dawlish resident Noreen Goodchild, whose photos show the affect of the rain, said water on the Brook has been rising on the boating lake.

She said: ‘The island is now underwater.

‘The ducks, geese and swans are on the banks waiting it out.’
