THE REMAINING five cygnets appeared well this morning on the Brook in Dawlish.

The sixth of the latest brood of Black Swans to parents Bert and Kimba has died, possibly attacked by seagulls.

All 13 ducklings which also hatched about the same time have also perished, either due to the recent bad weather or predators.

Dawlish Waterfowl Wardens said the deaths were sadly due to natural acts but they trey to take the greatest care of the waterfowl in the town.
