CONCERNS were raised after a seal pup was spotted lying on Holcombe beach.

Eagle-eyed Sarah Russon saw the youngster lying on the sand and appealed for help on who to contact.

It was thought it may have been injured. 

Experts from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue were called in to help. 

The mother was not seen to be in the area. 

Passersby were advised not to go near the seal as it could be resting.
