A POPULAR Christmas market made a welcome return to the grounds of Buckfast Abbey last week.
The three-day event saw a range of independent stallsholders offering everything from delicious food and drink to unique gifts handmade by local craftsmen.
The family-friendly weekend was designed to help visitors find the perfect present for their loved ones – be that a bottle of rum, award-winning traditional artisan cider, fresh farm food, oil cloth tote bags, or even unique pebble art pictures.
Visitors attending the event were also be able to explore the Abbey’s stunning grounds, participate in tasty Trappist Ale sampling and enjoy carol chiming from Dart Valley Hand Bell Ringers and seasonal music from Buckfast Abbey’s world-renowned choristers.
Saturday saw Dartmoor’s internationally-renowned children’s author Tracey Elliot-Reep was at the venue along with some of the animal stars from her books including Rainbow the Pony, and dogs Lad and Scamp.
