POLICE have charged a woman in connection with allegations of attempted murder which were reported to have taken place in Torquay, Tuesday, January 9.

Katie Rockett, aged 29, of no fixed abode in Torquay, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

She is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 10.

A man in his 20s from Torquay, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in police custody.
