AN INDIAN meal for four people, to be cooked by Councillor Jane Taylor and a twin, ‘Everlasting Power of Attorney’, donated by Scott Richard’s solicitor, were but two of the auction items, up for grabs at a charity event held to raise funds for the Children’s Hospice South West.

A spokesman said: ‘This is the second year this event has been held and we are pleased to announce that we have raised £3,000 from sales and auction prizes.’

‘Everyone has been so generous and I would particularly like to thank Angela Consulting and Shaun Lee, at Smarter Accounting.

The final item was won by Councillor Taylor, who bought a day’s Safeguarding Training, which she intends to donate to Teignbridge District Council, for the benefit of all staff and elected members.
