LAST month the Teignmouth Farmers’ Market’s celebrated its 9th year bringing local, more sustainable food and colour to the centre of the town.
Teignmouth Mayor, Cllr Joan Atkins, and Town Cryer, Patrick Brophy, led the celebrations. Stallholder Lisa Sutcliffe of Pat-a-Cake made her famous birthday cupcakes for the occasion and Mayor Joan was very successful in passing these out to loyal customers.
Now that summer is over Bread of Devon, Pesto, Black Rabbit Cider and Tip Top Tempeh are all back from their holidays refreshed and ready for a busy time at the market.
Tip Top Tempeh is celebrating Organic September with a new product using fresh organic and British green split-peas in the tempeh.
This is in addition to the organic soybean tempeh.
Make it even more sustainable by pre-ordering your zero-plastic pack (wrapped in compostable baking parchment). Contact [email protected] to ask Catherine to save some for you. Remember to bring a reusable zip lock bag or plastic container along with your reusable shopping bags and baskets.
Springfield Nursery will be offering packs of pansies violas and wallflowers to brighten up your Autumn planting. You can find the market on the last Saturday of the month, September 30, in the Triangle between 10am and 2 pm.
