Teignbridge's motorists will have 16 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 16 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A30, from 7pm January 22 to 5am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Tedburn St Mary lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 7pm January 22 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone Cross lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 Both Directions Kennford lane closures for structure maintenance.

• A38, from 7pm January 24 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Dart Bridge lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 8pm January 24 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Haldon Hill to Kennford lane closures for structure maintenance.

• A38, from 8.30pm January 24 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Wobbly Wheel exit slip road to A379 lane closures for structure maintenance.

• A38, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Splatford entry slip road from A380 closure for structure maintenance, diversion via Kennford entry slip road.

• A30, from 7pm January 26 to 5am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Fingle Glen to Ide lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 8pm January 29 to 6am January 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Telegraph Hill to Chudleigh carriageway closure for structure maintenance, diversion via A380, A383, A382 to Drumbridges, diversion for Belvedere Cross via Haldon Ridge Road to A380.

• A38, from 8pm January 30 to 6am January 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges to Harcombe carriageway closure for structure maintenance, diversion via A382, A383, A380 to Telegraph Hill, diversion for Chudleigh entry slip road westbound to Drumbridges to join diversion route.

• A30, from 7pm January 31 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Ide lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 8pm January 31 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Drumbridges lane closures for structure maintenance, No access to/from Dainton Business Park from A38 on 31/01/24.

• A30, from 9am to 3pm on February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Tedburn St Mary lane closure for electrical works.

• A30, from 7pm February 2 to 5am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Ide to Fingle Glen lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel to Splatford lane closures for structure maintenance.

• A38, from 9pm February 5 to 6am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel entry slip road closure for structure maintenance, diversion via Kennford entry slip road.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
