The Riverside Community Centre in Bovey Tracey was packed with residents joiing together to see the events on the big screen.

Free cakes and refreshments added to the party atmosphere, with members of the local Scout troop providing the service.

Bovey Tracey mayor, Cllr Sheila Brooke, said: ‘We’ve had a lot of people here this morning and the good thing is many said they would have had to watch the events alone.

‘It’s much better to join with friends and enjoy the day and refreshments together. We had free events for children and it was packed at times!’
