TAKING a walk on the wild side were the new Black Swan family in Dawlish.

The tribe of cygnets and their parents needed a helping hand from crafter Christine House, who is a regular stall holder at the Strand Centre.

She helped to guide the family across a pedestrian crossing in Dawlish and stopped traffic.

Christine said: ‘They were heading across the road and we had to stop the cars coming round as they were standing in the road.’

Her photo shows the family, Beatles Abbey Road style, making their way across the road.
