STUDENTS from Teign School in Kingsteignton are recovering after completing the gruelling Ten Tors challenge.
The young people were among more than 2,000 who tackled the event on Dartmoor, organised by the Army.
School leaders congratulated the students.
Lucie Wagner, head of school, said: ‘Our Teign students took part in the Ten Tors event this weekend and we could not be prouder of their achievements. ‘At Teign, Ten Tors is a well established and popular part of our school culture.
‘It is far more than simply walking 35 or 45 miles, it is about self-discovery, resilience, teamwork and links to our school vision and ethos of developing our ‘Best mindset’.
‘This event could not go ahead for Teign students without the incredible volunteers and staff who support it every year for which we are incredibly grateful.’
Matthew Shanks, CEO of Education South West of which Teign School is a member, said: 'A huge congratulations to the Teign School students are in order - everyone at the trust is delighted that they took on the Ten Tors Challenge and conquered it.
‘It’s amazing what we can do when we set our minds to it and I hope this will have shown these young people just how much they can achieve through grit and determination.’
