When it comes to post-Christmas walks in Shaldon they do things , how shall we say, a little different on Boxing Day.
The town’s annual three-legged race, featuring revellers dressed in all manner of outlandish, colourful and surreal costumes, took to the streets on Boxing Day with a dash around the town’s hostelries.
Over 450 participants put their best feet forward to tackle the family fun run in the Shaldon Water Carnival-organised event which featured everything from jogging dinosaurs, a mobile game of Tetris, the cast of Fawlty Towers, ballroom dancers and even the Lionesses football team.
Organisers thanked all concerned, both participants, all 459 of them, plus the numerous spectators, for taking part in what is a firmly established event in Shaldon’s community calendar.
