MEMBERS of Teignmouth Rotary Club and the Elves have been busy preparing for the arrival of Santa.
Already spotted at Hazeldown School where he took part in their Christmas festivities, he is now having a few days rest before he takes to the streets of Teignmouth.
A route has been earmarked at locations around the town for meet and greet with Santa and join in carol singing.
A Rotary spokesman said: ‘Everyone is very welcome. ‘As you will appreciate, times may vary due to the weather and how busy Santa is at each location so please keep checking our social media for updates and a Santa tracker.’
On Saturday, December 9, the big man will be at Victoria Hall Shaldon from 11am until 2pm, in aid of cancer research.
On Monday December 11, Santa will be visiting Drake Avenue, Woodway Close and Elizabethan Way in Teignmouth from 5pm onwards and Christmas Carols will be led by the U3A Choir.
It is the turn of Kingsway, Third Avenue and Second Avenue in Teignmouth on Tuesday December 12 from 5pm.
Then on Friday December 15, there will be singing around the Christmas Tree in the Triangle from 5pm.
On Thursday December 21, Santa’s Grotto will be at the Richard Newton Hall from 5pm with carols led by the Red Rock Acappella choir.
Santa will be meeting children and handing out free gifts and sweets.
Nicky Burgess, president of The Rotary Club of Teignmouth said: ‘Santa loves his visits to Teignmouth and meeting all the children.
‘He is looking forward to seeing everyone again this year so please show your support by popping down to the locations to have your photo taken with him.
‘I would like to thank all Santas helpers, the U3A Choir, Red Rock Acappella choir and Richard Newton Hall for joining Santa.’
