Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 9pm August 24 to 5am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Cheriton exit slip road closure for electrical works, diversion eastbound to Fingle Glen and return.
• M5, from 9pm August 24 to 6am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 30 to junction 31 lane closure for barrier repair.
• A38, from 9pm August 21 to 6am August 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Haldon Hill lane closure for Openreach works.
And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A38, from 8pm August 29 to 6am August 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split, Kennford (A380) to Chudleigh carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A380, A383 and A382 to Drumbridges.
• A30, from 8pm August 30 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Woodleigh to Alphington carriageway closures for surveys, diversion, eastbound, Tedburn St Mary, Pathfinder Village, Tedburn Road, Ide Lane to Alphington, Fingle Glen junction:, exit: West to Woodleigh and return via diversion route, entry: West through Tedburn St Mary to Woodleigh.
• M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 30 to 31 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.
• M5, from 8am to 6pm on August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 30 to 31 hard shoulder closure for CCTV surveys.
• A38, from 7.30pm August 31 to 5am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Linhay - lane closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
