Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 6am November 7 to 8pm December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Fingle Glen to Alphington lane closures/contraflow and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing.
• A30, from 6am October 25 2022 to 6am February 25 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington entry slip lane narrowing for resurfacing.
And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A38, from 8pm November 14 to 4am November 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges lane closure and entry slip narrow lanes for horticultural works.
• A38, from 8pm November 15 to 4am November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Haldon Hill lane closure for horticultural works.
• A38, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Dart Bridge to Haldon Hill mobile lane closures for safety barrier inspections.
• A38, from 8pm November 16 to 4am November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges to Clay Lane - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.
• A38, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel to Peartree mobile lane closures for safety barrier inspections.
• A30, from 9pm November 18 to 6am November 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 31 exit slip road closed for carriageway surfacing repairs. Diversion via A38 southbound to Kennford and return to join A30 westbound.
• A38, from 8pm November 21 to 6am November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Ashburton to Combe Cross - lane closures for signs - erection.
• A30, from 7pm November 28 to 6am November 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Whiddon Down to Cheriton Bishop lane closure and convoy for carriageway surfacing works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
