DURING the second week of June Haytor View Community Primary School were fortunate enough to take part in a Helen Foundation supported art workshop facilitated by Daisi, writes Michaela Cousins.
This art workshop was with Cara Roxanne and gave Children in Years 2, 3 and 4 the opportunity to explore paint.
Children mixed a range of colours using watercolour paint and compared the effects across their class.
This enabled each child to develop their ability to discuss the impact and feelings elicited by different colours.
Once children had explored the process of paint mixing for colour and consistency they explored ways to use, present and share the array of colours produced through the creation of landscapes and seascapes.
Each child thoroughly enjoyed this experienced and were amazed and the range of colours they mixed and used to produce their works of art.
