PARTS of the centre of Newton Abbot are without power this evening, Thursday.

The electricity went off for offices in the TQ12 area of town around Courtenay Street at shortly before 10.30pm.

Around 32 properties have been cut off.

National Grid has said: ‘Apologies for the disruption.

‘We have logged a call regarding your power cut which has been caused by a fault on the local network.

‘We estimate that supplies will restored by approximately 2am.’
