After long delays and setbacks due to covid five new tourist information boards have now been installed - on the Teignmouth sea front, the Point, the Triangle, Quay Road and Dawlish Road carparks.

Councillor Sylvia Russell said she saw an opportunity to make best use of a one-off ‘Invest in Devon’ grant from Devon County Council to improve the existing town council information points around the town which after 22 years had become faded and neglected.

Sylvia commissioned local artist Laura Wall and local creative design experts, inspirations to design the graphics. ?Town council facilities manager Iain Wedlake took up the challenge and ensured all the elements of the project came together.

‘It is good to know that all the panels are now complete and it is hoped our visitors will be encouraged to explore the town’s special places,’ he said.
