BUSINESSES in Teignmouth have donated more than 260 mince pies to Teignmouth Community Food Larder.

It has been supporting people in the town with urgent food parcels since 2020.

This Christmas they helped 63 households with the essentials, supporting 112 adults and 45 children in difficult situations.

One of the founders Roger Jackson said: ‘The Teignmouth community are wonderfully helpful.

‘This year we’re able to give all our households a very full Christmas pack.’

Businesswoman, Lesley Anderson, who runs networking events in Shaldon, said: ‘We do a collection every month for the larder, so this Christmas we did a big push.

‘Nearly 30 people came along and donated 260 mince pies, and boxes of pasta, sweets and soup. I’m so pleased we’re able to help the food bank as they do an incredible job.’
