AFTER a man was arrested for playing ‘offensive music’ on Back Beach, police have reminded people a public spaces protection order (PSPO) is in place for parts of Teignmouth.
On their Facebook page Teignmouth and Dawlish police give advice on how to report anti-social behaviour.
They say: ‘Are you aware we have a public spaces protection order (PSPO) in Teignmouth?
‘It prohibits any behaviour that causes alarm or distress to others, and any breach can lead to a fine from Teignbridge Council.
‘A drunk male who refused to turn down his offensive music, on the back beach, will be getting a fine.
‘He got himself arrested in the end.
‘If we are not around, and you can get videos/photos, please report any ASB to [email protected]’
The picture shows the area the PSPO covers areas in red.
