THE festive spirit was in full flow in Bovey Tracey this weekend as the town held its Christmas market and lights switch-on.
Saturday saw the main street closed to traffic allowing more than 40 stalls to pitch up and provide hot food and drink while browsing for the ideal Christmas present.
Entertainment was provided by choirs from the New Century Singers and Bovey Tracey Primary School
As dusk fell, town mayor, Cllr Sheila Brooke performed the switch on of the town’s illuminations while the real star of the show, Father Christmas arrived to meet schoolchildren and distribute gifts.
