A TEIGNBRIDGE life-saving club is urging people to sign up to its upcoming CPR training sessions.

Led by Ian and Sue Hutchings of Bovey Tracey Life-Saving Club, the sessions are an opportunity to learn how the heart works, issues with the heart that can and, crucially, how to properly perform CPR.

The sessions - February 24 or March 24 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm - will take place at Bovey Tracey Community Hall.

Performing CPR while waiting for medical assistance can greatly increase a person’s chance of survival from cardiac arrest.

The sessions are free, however organisers are suggesting a £5 voluntary donation.
