SEVERAL hundreds homes in Teignmouth are understood to be without water this morning due to a burst pipe.

South West Water were expected to be out looking to isolate the burst and reduce the number of properties impacted while they repair the damage. 

Water was reported to be running slow at homes in Deer Park and coming up through cracks in the road and pavement. 

It is currently estimated to be impacting several hundred properties.

SWW’s social media channels and website will be updated to inform customers of progress. 

Text messages will go out after 8am, and customers on the Priority Services Register, will be called.
