SHANTY singers the Back Beach Boyz are supporting the newly reopened Cave music project in Teignmouth.
The ‘boyz’ handed over a cheque for £350 to help the organisation set up in its new home.
Launched in 2009, the Cave Project, named after the second track released by homegrown superstars Muse, who grew up and started their musical careers in the town, is opening its new premises providing rehearsal studios and equipment at the Old Quay Warehouse.
Teignmouth’s Back Beach Boyz say they were proud to be able to present the cash to help.
Band spokesmen Ian Mitchell said how important it is for young people to have a place to go to where they can work together and develop their musical skills.
He said: ‘Who knows, this could result in the next Muse or even the next Back Beach Boyz!’
