COVID case numbers have fallen across Teignbridge but three deaths have been reported between December 11 and 17 within 28 days of a positive test.
Meanwhile Booster sessions have been going on apace at Newton Abbot’s Racecourse.
According to the latest Government figures 79 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on December 17.
Between December 11 and 17 648 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -21.3% compared to the previous seven days.
Testing in Teignbridge
There were 10,648 tests reported on December 16. This shows an increase of 43.0%compared to the previous seven days.
Between December 10 and 16 December, there have been 38,009 tests.
Vaccinations in Teignbridge
Vaccines are currently given in 2 doses, at least 21 days apart.
110,841 people had been given a first dose by the end of 16 December 2021.
103,967 people had been given a second dose by the end of 16 December 2021.

One person with coronavirus went into hospital on December 12.
Between December 6 and 12 December, 26 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 13.0% compared to the previous seven days.
There were 26 patients in hospital with coronavirus on December 14.
Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.
There were three coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on December 14.
Deaths in Teignbridge
There were no deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 17 December 17. But between December 11 and 17 , there have been three deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows an increase of 200% compared to the previous seven days.
