THE number of covid cases has fallen across the board in Devon, mirroring the national reduction in the virus.
Figures for the week to last Thursday [February 10] show the rate in the Devon County Council area and Torbay both dropped by around 30 per cent.
In Teignbridge 135 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on February 15.
Between February 9 and 15 February, 938 people in Teignbridge had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows a decrease of -34.5% compared to the previous seven days.
However, as covid cases began to fall sooner elsewhere in the country, Devon is still above the UK average rate of 642 cases per 100,000 people. Teignbridge’s is 855.3.
