MORE than a dozen local organisations from across Teignbridge have been awarded grants thank to a community-focused lottery.
17 local organisations and charities have been awarded grants through Teignbridge District Council’s (TDC) ‘Teignbridge Lottery for Communities’
With ten pence from every £1 Teignbridge Lottery ticket sold going into a small grants fund to benefit local community projects, a total of more than £30K has been raised.
Applications were invited from the 96 good causes registered with the Lottery to apply for a grant of up to £2,500 to support their initiatives.
All organisations and charities will use the grants to support the mental health and wellbeing in communities across Teignbridge.
The winners include: Kerswella Care; Bickington Goodwill Company CIC; Newton Abbot Community Transport Association; Tedburn St Mary Village Hall; The Teignbridge Community Project; Roots Community Enhancement; South West Ambulance Charity; A.I.M.S; FND Friends; South Devon Aspergers Group; Kingsteignton Community Swimming Pool; Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool; Girl Guiding Teignbridge Division; Community Advice and Support Service; Horsemanship for Health; Westbank Community Health and Care and last but not least Assist Teignbridge.
