New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Teignbridge’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The Doe, at 46 Fore Street Buckfastleigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 19.

And Ashburton Cafe, at 10 East Street Ashburton was given a score of one on June 20.

It means that of Teignbridge's 253 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 214 (85%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
