A FANTASTIC firework display lit up the night sky over Teignmouth and Shaldon on Saturday.

This free community event was hosted by Teignmouth Town Council and Shaldon Parish Council.

The fireworks were let off from Teignmouth Point Beach.

Cllr Andy Henderson said: ‘Thank you to all that came to the fireworks event this evening. I always enjoy volunteering for this event and thank you to all that did.

‘This event is free but if you would like to donate there’s a link.

‘We understand that times are tough at the moment, that’s why we want to ensure the continuation of our Fireworks Display.

‘It was brought forward a week early this year because of the tides.’
