FIREFIGHTERS In Buckfastleigh have been carrying out training to deal with fire involving electric vehicles.
The team went to a vehicle charging station to familiarise themselves with the site and the safety procedures designed to make the area safe in the event of a fire or a vehicle hitting a charging dock.
Their training took place at the Salmon’s Leap cafe in Dartbridge Road.
A fire station spokesman said: ‘The stand out fact for us was that Osprey Charging Network have installed the highest quality equipment and the likelihood of the equipment failure is very low.
‘We would like to thank them for facilitating the visit which was very beneficial to us all.’
