A DAY of family fun is in store for those living in Shaldon.
Organised by the parish council’s playwark committee, the event, which takes place from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, June 15, will serve as a fundraiser.
Shaldon Parish Council has already raised more than £80,000 toward a planned refurbishment of the village’s play park.
Having surpassed two thirds of its initial target, the parish council is now reaching out to the community for its big push to raise the remainder of the monies.
The planned refurbishment will include the purchase of brand new equipment.
The event itself will see a bouncy castle, barbecue and face painting on offer, and cakes and other refreshments on sale.
