WHILE shoppers queuing across UK for today's reported arrival of a new stock of Primedrinks at Sainsbury's were disappointed - after they were met with emptyshelves – in Newton Abbot they were eagerly snapped up by young shoppers.
Eagle eyed Zack Avery, aged 13, spotted this supply that was on sale early in the town’s store.
Zack said: ‘I was really excited to see Prime in the store and made sure I got some.'
Reports said Logan Paul and KSI’s energy drinks - including a limited edition flavour - weredue to be on sale at the shops from today, Tuesday.
Queues were seen at stores in Maidstone, Birmingham and Torquay, and when the door opened, some shoppers ran to the shelves.
In all shops they were met with empty 'point of sale' cardboard boxes and signs saying theshops were still waiting for stock.
Some of the parents had been waiting in line long before the stores opened.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: ‘We know our customers actively seek the latest in productinnovation. We are excited to be launching the following Prime Hydrationproducts in store from Tuesday 21 February.’
The supermarket is set to stock flavours lemon lime, blue raspberry, tropical punch, ice popand limited edition orange and mango.
The millionaire YouTubers have reportedly already made £8.3 million from the energy drinkworldwide. In the UK alone, Prime sold out in Aldi stores across the country,and has already started to be stocked in ASDA.
