MURDER is currently on the agenda in Dawlish courtesy of the Dawlish Repertory Company.

The company is presenting the Richard Harris psychological thriller The Business of Murder at the Shaftesbury Theatre. The production opened tonight (Wednesday) and runs until Saturday, February 4.

This tale of revenge centres on the interlocking triangular relationship Stone, a humourless and dour man, Dee, a television playwright, and Hallett, a policeman.

Dee is invited to Stone’s flat on the premise of discussing a script.

But once there she is surprised when superintendent Hallett, the man with whom she is having an affair, also arrives for an entirely different reason.

But nothing is as it seems, and as the plot twists and turns the motive of their host Stone gradually becomes clear. They are all, it would seem, in the same business… that of murder.
