THE driver of a bus that crashed into a building after suffering a suspected medical episode was taken to hospital.

Emergency services amassed at Newton Abbot’s Newfoundland Way car park on Monday, February 10 after a Country Bus crashed through the perimeter fencing and into a building.

The driver of the bus, who is thought to have suffered a medical episode, was taken to Torbay Hospital.

A second man was also taken to hospital.

Country Bus, in a post to its Facebook page on Tuesday, February 11, said one of its drivers was at home recovering, while the driver of the bus was still undergoing tests.

The bus was not carrying passengers at the time of collision, Devon and Cornwall Police have said.
