AN Abbotskerswell woman has been banned for 20 months for drink-driving.

Susan Sobey, aged 59, of Orchard Terrace, admitted driving a Mazda vehicle at Abbotskerswell while over the drink-drive limit. A test revealed she had 139 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The limit is 80.

Sobey was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £48 to fund victim services. Her ban will be reduced by 20 weeks if she completes a course.
