A TEIGNBRIDGE fire station’s charity car wash returns at the end of the month.

Last year’s effort saw Newton Abbot Fire Station raise more than £3,000, a new record for Station 28’s crew

And now the annual event returns for 2025, taking place from 9.30am on Saturday, March 29.

As always, the car wash will raise funds for The Firefighters Charity.

The charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services communities.

A spokesman for Newton Abbot Fire Station said: ‘There will be no compulsory charge.

‘However, all charitable donations, cash or card, will be graciously accepted, with all the proceeds going to the firefighters' charity.

‘This is an amazing organisation that helps with the physical rehabilitation of firefighters and provides world-class mental health support for those who truly need it.

‘So, if you find yourself with a spare 5 minutes, or if you're in passing, please pop in, say hi to the crews, and leave with a car as clean as it was the day it left the showroom.’
