PRAYERS have been said at a Dawlish church for a woman found dead in Plymouth.

Hazel Huggins, 53, was described as a ‘much-loved’ member of the congregation at Hope Church in Dawlish where she was also a member of its leadership team.

Mark Jones, church leader, said: ‘The church has been devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of a much-loved member of the congregation.

‘We are supporting her family during this heart-breaking time and would ask that they are left in peace as they attempt to deal with their grief.’

Tributes were paid of Hazel yesterday at the Dawlish church, reflecting her ‘enormous contribution’ to the church and wider community.

A Service of Lamentation is to be held at the church in Swift Road tomorrow starting at 7pm.

This will be a time of reflection and prayer.

All who knew Hazel are welcome.

She was found dead at an address in Plymouth on Saturday following concerns for her welfare.

Bradley Huggins, 24, of Ilbert Street, Plymouth, has been charged with murder and appeared before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today.
