A NEWTON Abbot-based foodbank has launched an appeal for more volunteer drivers.

HITS is looking for drivers to make collections and deliveries.

Drivers need to be over 21 or under 80 with a clean driving licence, other than minor speeding offences, and fit as there is lifting involved in the role.

The hours are from 10am to 4pm.

The charity is also looking for flexible holiday relief telephone operators to answer incoming calls and make outbounds calls to clients.

Hours for the phone operations are 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 4pm.

This is a flexible role and full training and support would be given.
