A CAR was left severely damaged after catching fire near Ilsington, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have said.

Bovey Tracey Fire Station scrambled a crew to the Devon village on Saturday afternoon, February 15.

By the time crew from Station 20 arrived at the scene, the car was already well alight.

Crew set about extinguishing the fire using a hose reel jet, small tools and breathing apparatus.

‘The car was severely damaged by fire and the cause was accidental’ a spokesman for the fire service said.
