A CAR was 95 per cent damaged in a fire at Kenn.
Fire control received a call at around 9.30pm last night, Sunday.
A spokesperson said: ‘A fire engine from Danes Castle in Exeter was mobilised to Higher Ashton following a car that had caught fire on a public highway.
‘On arrival the vehicle was alight and they set to work extinguishing it with two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
‘Unfortunately the car was 95 per cent damaged by fire and once the scene was made safe duty of care was left with the owner awaiting recovery.’
