ARMY cadets from a leading independent school in Teignbridge recently paid a visit to the principal training centre for the Royal Marines.
Five senior NCO Cadets from Stover School CCF Detachment recently attended the Kings Squad Pass Out Parade at CTCRM Lympstone as guests of the Commandant, Colonel Innes Catton.
Escorted by two Royal Naval Officers, the Cadets were given a full tour of the facility and took part in a ‘Royal Marines Future Capability’ briefing for senior officers before attending the presentation of the coveted Green Berets.
The also attended training awards to newly appointed Royal Marines prior to their passing out parade.
They were before then escorted to the VIP stand to watch the pass out parade and silent drill display with music provided by the Portsmouth Band of the Royal Marines.
It was then back to the Officers Mess for lunch with both Rear Admiral Carroll and the Commandant, joined by various officers from the instructing staff.
