ALTHOUGH organisers had to call off the popular Boxing Day Walk in the Sea at Teignmouth, many hardy souls took to the water for a quick dip.

Teignmouth RNLI fundraising team took the difficult decision to cancel one of the town’s most popular events over the festive period due to recent sand movement resulting in the area becoming unsafe for participants.

However, many people also enjoyed a beach stroll in the pleasant Boxing Day sunshine.
