TEIGNBRIDGE District Council's (TDC) crack Coastal, Blitz and Resorts team have cleared a piece of trawler net from Teignmouth beach.

The large piece of discarded trawler net had washed up and had become entangled around one of the groynes.

As well as being an unsightly hazard to beach goers, discarded sections of netting can continue to float for years 'ghost' fishing in the oceans threatening marine life.
