A BANNED driver from Buckfastleigh was over the drug-drive limit when stopped.

Cameron Gill, aged 47, of Plymouth Road, admitted driving a Skoda Octavia in Dartington when he was banned from driving.

He also admitted he was over the drug-drive limit as he had 326 microgrammes of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine per litre of blood.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court imposed an interim ban on Gill driving until the case has been dealt with and adjourned the case to April 27for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

He was remanded on unconditional bail.
